Shirley Longfellow
Will be @ the Cupola House this July  4th weekend (Friday through Monday). Come & check out her works of art.
With a smile Shirley will proudly tell you she is a half-breed, half Viking and half cowgirl. Her roots in Norway are in fact traced to the Vikings. In this picture of her she is wearing the traditional bunad of her family in Norway. She lives in Arizona on an old gold mining claim, and though born in Wisconsin she has always loved the western way of live.
She went to Phoenix College and studied under Alan Dutton for two years, and earned an associate of Arts degree. She then went on to ASU for two more years. During her time in college she worked for The American Photographic Corporation of New York. While employed, she entered a National baby photo contest sponsored by the corporation. Her baby portrait was the 1st place national winner. The vice-president flew to Phoenix to offer her a job teaching in their training school. New York was not her calling.
Her work has appeared on magazine covers such as: Scottsdale Airpark News, Golf Digest, Sports Illustrated, and several more publications. Some of her clients include Federal Express, Corporate Courier, Ping Golf, Deanna Postil & Assoc. Interior Designers, and Donald Trump for Trump International Tower and Hotel Las Vegas. She exhibits Photography in Fine Art festival across America, and has won many awards.
